E-commerce giant Amazon has introduced Project Amelia, its AI assistant, for retailers. This generative AI-powered personal assistant is available in beta and provides sellers with an all-in-one, GenAI-based selling expert. With Project Amelia, sellers will immediately get the answers, advice, and tools they need to succeed.
According to Amazon, sellers can simply ask Project Amelia a question and get a response with accurate information and guidance. This will significantly allow them to manage their business more easily and efficiently. Project Amelia is an expert, always available partner for sellers.
The AI assistant learns about each seller’s particular business to provide tailored advice and help. You can access it from any page in Seller Central at any time.
Know All About Project Amelia
Project Amelia utilizes the power of Amazon Bedrock, which provides scalable access to the latest foundation models and AI tools that make it the most efficient way to build and scale generative AI applications. Furthermore, Project Amelia is developed using a combination of broad-world knowledge.
This combination gives Project Amelia the unique ability to offer sellers customized, relevant responses that are intended to increase their success when selling on Amazon. The company will expand on Project Amelia’s experience over time to deliver vendors more individualized answers to even complex queries.
The capabilities of Project Amelia cover three major domains:
Knowledge-based questions: Sellers can easily know what they need quickly by asking precise inquiries and receiving pertinent, condensed information from highly accurate and trustworthy sources on Seller Central and beyond.
Status updates and metrics: By asking questions like “How is my business doing?” sellers receive summaries of sales data, customer traffic, and other critical metrics. They can also dive deeper into specific product performance.
Action and Issue resolution: Soon, Project Amelia will help diagnose problems and offer solutions, even taking action on behalf of sellers for complex issues like tracking shipments or resolving discrepancies.
Project Amelia is currently available in beta for an initial set of U.S. sellers, and over the next few weeks, more U.S. sellers will be gradually added. Later this year, Project Amelia will begin a phased rollout in other countries and will start to become accessible in languages other than English.
