A new patent for a wireless charging station submitted by Tesla has been revealed ahead of Tesla’s Robotaxi event, according to a leaked tweet on X. The event is scheduled for October 10, 2024, in California.
With this new discovery, wireless charging stations can be used to charge electric taxis. The objective is to fully eliminate human intervention and expand the use of Tesla’s self-driving technology to a large worldwide market. Additionally, the service will make Tesla drivers add their vehicles to the fleet of taxis.
Tesla plans to use a wireless charging station for the Robotaxi suite. The vehicle must be self-sufficient in terms of charging if it is to function entirely without human intervention once it has finished driving.
Tesla has filed four patents, making the company stay ahead of the wireless charging game. The four patent titles are:

Tesla promises various cutting-edge features with its patents. To enhance safety and avoid overheating, the charging pad would have temperature sensors. Secondly, a shorting switch would be incorporated to minimize energy loss resulting from ground leakage.
